If you guys havent heard the Entertainment Weekly annoucement of the cast of "The last Airbender" was relased several weeks ago.
It has been reported to be an all white-cast to represent an all-Asian and Northern Native American round of characters.
Theirs a huge movement happening to stop the cast, since it has not yet become official.

Heres a couple of links:

Heres another:

Heres my letter that I will be sending shortly:

To Ms. Kennedy and Mr. Marshall:

As a 24-year old undergraduate student enthusiast of the Nickelodeon television series Avatar the Last Airbender, I was extremely disappointed upon reading the Entertainment Weekly casting announcement for the live-action film "The Last Airbender."
When viewing any episode of Avatar the Last Airbender one can clearly see that it delves in an Asian and Artic cultured world.  The appointment of actors who clearly are all of European decent to depict these characters, would not just be a sign of disrespect to the art material, but directly to the very cultures and peoples these characters are meant to represent themselves.
Though I mean no disrespect to the individual actors and their craft, I believe that the placement of an all-European-decent cast to portray an all-Asian and Artic cast is a sign of the continued bias, prejudice, and intolerance that prevails in American media today.
If the casting continues as it is, I, and many of my friends and family will not support the release of "The Last Airbender" due to this evident sign of bigotry.

Thank you for your time,

Comic-con 2008

3 min read
This past 4-day was one of the best days I've ever had! I had a rockin time!
Geekyness or otherwise.
I attended both the Doctor Who and Torchwood Panels, and was able to meet John Barrowman and Gareth David Lloyd and get their autographs.(I was even able to High-five Gareth after I saw him again on Sunday, Fuck yeah!) I sadly missed Naoko Mori, (DAMN!!!!).
I was also suprisingly 20 feet away from Renne O"Connor(Garielle from Xena)!! I screamed and hollored like my life depended on it, and I told her I was in love with her. Yep...I know, Awesome.
After that, all of us were able to get a free screening of the new Kevin Spacey produced film "FANBOYS"  Which rocked ass!  I hope to watch that film again either druck or high.  Kevin Spacey decided to sit 5 feet away from us at the screening.  Sweet.
On Friday I saw the new Watchmen trailer, I attended the Venture Bros panel, The Joss Whedon panel, and the Avatar Panel.
Watchmen looked cooler than ever.  The Venture Bros panel made me wanna see more episodes of it, and the JOSS WHEDON Panel showed me how much of a fan of that man I really was and forever will be.  Damn you Whedon...damn YOU and your awesomenes.
On the AVATAR panel, I suprissingly bumped in to Cassie and Kelli(Known as :iconcleverblue: and :iconetoli: here on Deviant)!!! Awesomeness.  Hope to see you gals soon!
We were able to see Book four of Avatar...hehe...the best season!!  And I was able to get a free Avatar shirt at the end of the panel! YAY!
On Saturday I saw the first episode of the new season of HEROES!!! which rocked ass!...Its about time, I've been having Heroes withdrawls.
Sometime during that day I accidently bumped into BOTH Milo and Hayden of Heroes!!! Though I ignored Hayden(due to the fact that she looked very thin in real life, and I didnt recognize her.  DAmN!!) I was able to say "wuz up" to Milo and I shake his hand(I tried my best to sound all cool and stuff as I said Hi and congratulated him on a job well done).
After that I saw the BATTLESTAR GALACTICA panel.  All I can say is....Fuckin awesome.  Wow those women are beautiful.  I can only regret not seeing Lucy Lawless at this panel since she did not attend.
And finally, I saw WOLVERINE AND THE X-MEN.  It has the same problems the X-men films had: too much Wolverine and a Wolverine who leads a team that both Cyclops or Storm could easily lead.  Dont get me wrong I love Wolverine, but not the way TV and movies protray him.
And finally!!! I met Greg Weisman the creator of GARGOYLES!!  YAYYYYYYYYYY!

Damn.
My life rocks right now.

PS.  "Dr Horribles Sing Along Blog" is awesome!!
You should watch it.  Joss whedon and family made it.  Watch it.
